Sun's Enterprise 220R was billed as an ideal workgroup server when it was introduced in November of 1999. The E220R uses one or two UltraSPARC[tm]-II processors, up to 2 GB RAM, and up two 9.1 GB, 18.2 GB, or 36.4 GB Ultra-1 SCSI disk drives, all in a 4 rack unit height.
The Sun Enterprise 220R was EOL'd (end-of-lifed) in August of 2002.
