Sun Fire V215 Server System Overview Introduced in October of 2006, and the direct replacement for the Sun Fire V210 server, the Sun Fire V215 server is a rack-optimized, 1U/24-inch depth design, and comes with up to two 1.5-GHz UltraSPARC® IIIi, Processors, up to 16 GB of memory, and up to two 73 GB SAS 2.5-inch disks (146 GB disks are optional). The the Sun Fire™ V215 server was billed as the ultimate high density,rack-optimized server at its product announcement. The Sun Fire V215 server also includes four integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports, two PCI slots, redundant power supplies, and Advanced Lights Out Management (ALOM) for simplified remote management.
