Sun | Sun Fire V245 Server
The Sun Fire V245 supports up to two UltraSPARC IIIi processors in the same 2 RU box and supports up to four drives and expanded I/O options.
Introduced in October 2006 as the upgrade from the Sun Fire V240 server, the V245 offers up to 18 percent higher application performance, twice as many USB ports, 33% more PCI slots, 3 GB/sec 10K SAS disk drives, twice the memory capacity, as well as the rock-solid reliability of the Solaris OS. The Sun Fire V245 was EOL'd (end-of-lifed) in April of 2008.
