System Overview
The Sun Fire V65x server is a 2RU, x86-based entry-level server. It is capable of running standard Linux distributions, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SuSE Enterprise Linux Server, or the Solaris Operating System, x86 Platform Edition. The Sun Fire V65x server is designed for Tier 0, 1, and 2 applications such as Web serving, email, firewall, and caching. The V65x comes with either one or two Intel Xeon processors running at 2.8-GHz/3.06-GHz/3.2-GHz, and takes up to 12 GB of memory, has six PCI-X slots, and takes up to six Ultra320 SCSI hard drives.
