Sun | StorEdge 3320 SCSI Array
Introduced in December 2005, the Sun StorEdge 3320 SCSI array is a low-profile, high-density, modular storage system, and a direct replacement for the StorEdge 3310. The space-efficient 12-drive array supports up to 3.6 terabytes of storage; one or two RAID controllers; RAID levels 0, 1, 3, 5, 1+0, 3+0, and 5+0; 128 LUNs; and multiple host connections. The design allows the addition of capacity in single-drive increments, or with low-cost expansion units. The system's single or dual RAID controllers and Web interface enable quick capacity expansion, allowing for the addition of hundreds of drives and thousands of LUNs.The 3320 array is designed to withstand some of the harshest environments, and is ruggedized to meet full NEBS Level 3 certification, and the air, land, and marine deployment of the MIL-STD-810F specification.
The 3320 array uses 73 GB Ultra-320 1” 10K and 15K disk drives, 146 GB Ultra-320 1” 10K and 15K disk drives, and 300 GB Ultra-320 1” 10K and 15K disk drives. Both the 3320 array and the disk drives are RoHS:YL compliant. Lastly, the 3320 array was EOL’d (end-of-lifed) in December 2009.
